Writing for Wellness Workshops

I am thrilled to be able to offer Guided Journalling Sessions from September 2023 in various spaces in West Leeds. Journalling is a powerful tool for the development of a deep inner connection with your own thoughts and feelings. Led by Charlotte Russell (MA CW) these workshops encourage your own thought processes to run alongside a narrative where you are the main character.

We have a series of workshops to help with specific issues or to delve deeper into your innermost feelings.

The Writing for Wellness Workshops are being held in blocks or as one off pop-up events are:

The Bear A Journey to Inner Strength and Courage.

The Butterfly A Journey to the acceptance of Change.

The Mirror A Journey to Self-Worth.

The Box A Journey of Letting Go.

The Jungle Dealing with Toxic People.

The Mountain Dealing with Failure.

The Woods Dealing with Loss.

The Ship Learning to Say Yes to Adventures into the Unknown.

Why Choose Writing for Wellness?

Writing for Wellness or “journalling” is a great way to increase self-awareness and promote positivity, as well as encouraging you to face any fears or issues you may have hidden deep down in your subconscious. When we let go of hard feelings, we create headspace for new opportunities and promote a practice of gratitude and hope.

We are not talking about excessive over thinking which can lead to anxiety, we are simply wanting to create a safe, calm space free of judgement where you can understand your inner life, get it down on paper and leave feeling lighter. 

What is included in the Workshop?

When you purchase a ticket for our Writing for Wellness Workshops you will receive:

1.5 Hours of Guided Journalling/Writing Time

An opportunity to share your work (you do NOT have to do this)

Refreshments (at some venues only, TBC upon booking)

A Basic Writing Book

A Pen

Please feel free to bring your own journal and a pen if you wish, beginning your Writing Journey with fresh stationary is always encouraged 😊

Pro-Fit Gym, 60 Bagley Lane, Farsley, LS28 5LY on Sunday 8th October 2pm – 4pm. SCROLL DOWN TO BUY TICKETS

Please note this is a “mat event” meaning you will have a yoga mat to sit on to write.* Please consider this if you suffer with issues that may prevent you from sitting on the floor to write. We hope to be able to hold our workshops at venues with tables and chairs in due course.

*Align Healthcare is an event with chairs to sit on.

Tickets are £20.00 per person.

Events held at Om Yoga are different every month and form a series of events.
